JSW Neosteel CRS
Places like coastal areas, areas with high salinity in the air, industrial areas, and areas with high acid content in the air may prove to be more corrosive to regular steel than other areas. In such places, to avoid weakening of structures over time due to rusting and corrosion, engineers recommend Corrosion Resistant Steel (CRS) to build long lasting structures. These specially manufactured steel bars are made by adding elements such as Copper, Chromium, Nickel, Molybdenum etc. that are known to be more resistant to corrosion and thus provide longer life to the structure made with CRS grade steel bars.
JSW Neosteel CRS is manufactured in state-of-the-art rolling mills using the finest raw materials ensuring each TMT bar of JSW Neosteel CRS is of highest quality.
Corrosion resistance is a property gained by CRS Steel owing to its chemistry and metallurgy and is not a surface treatment or coating. Hence it is prone to surface oxidation like regular steel and therefore is not distinguished by appearance. However for easy identification, CRS steel bars have the letters 'CRS' embossed on them.
